It's that time of year again. Yes, the wonderful time of job hunting, sponsored by the fantastic Jobmine. Isn't it just a shame that it'll be gone by 2010?

All kidding aside, the pickings are definitely a lot slimmer than they used to be. Guess that's to be expected, but... Damn, anyway. Of course, more than anything it would be totally sick if I could get an internship at the new Pixar studio that is due to open in Vancouver. Hell, it'd probably be pretty much my lifelong dream. On top of that, it's in Vancouver.

Unfortunately, I clearly don't have the right qualifications for working at Pixar, because I'm not a kick-ass programmer, nor am I experienced in rendering/modelling, nor do I even have a portfolio or reel. It's a little disheartening, really. Maybe eventually when I have a chance, I'll take some part-time courses in 2D animating or something, just to build up my skills table and make a portfolio that's worthy of showing.

Maybe someday, but for now... Jobmine it is. They can't get rid of it fast enough.
